This is a high quality cable of sturdy construction for syncing and ipod or iphone. I have warn through the connections end of several of lesser quality cables.

The cable is a good quality and sturdy cable. The only negative seems to be that back ups of my phone and data exchanges seem to take a little longer but it’s not that noticeable. I’m not sure if that’s the cable or my computer/phone. I’ve broken at least four of the cables from Apple with no more than gentle use. They’ve all broken in the same place at the neck of blade plug in. With this cable’s sturdier connectors, I look forward to having a cable that I hopefully won’t have to replace in 6 months.

This adapter works fine with an iPhone that does not have a protective cover like Otter Box. The square shoulders will not fit the oval (OEM type) access port on Otter Box.
If you are looking for a cable to use with Otter Box or similar case, save your money – this adapter will not work!

I ordered this item to connect my iPod to my USB port on my car stereo. While the USB seems to have no issues, the connector that fits into the iPod is misshapen or something. You have to hold the connector to the iPod in just such a way to keep it connected. Or, if you can manage to get the connector to line up and set it down in your console, the connection will be lost every time you hit a bump. Sure, it’s a low price, but I don’t think I even got what I paid for in this instance. The cord is junk.
